Legal Assistant - Paralegal

LoanMe has an opportunity for a Legal Assistant – Paralegal to join our team in Anaheim, CA.  You will review legal documentation in order to determine the validity, perform file management and generate various correspondence letters in support of management.


LoanMe is a California based lender that originates and services unsecured installment loans to qualified borrowers. Our loans are typically used for one-time purchases or debt consolidation. When servicing the loans we focus on providing exceptional service to our customers while adhering to federal, state and local regulations.



  • Data entry of information that comes in from courts or sheriff’s departments.
  • File, manage mail and request checks for Superior Court cases
  • Prepare and send off deposition subpoenas


Superior Court – Civil Filings

  • Prepare new Files
  • Track who is out for service
  • Calendar, prepare files for Default and Judgments
  • Track of Wage Garnishments


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Spelling 90% Grammar 85% Typing 60 wpm
  • Accuracy with attention to detail
  • Excellent Organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Knowledge of Plaintiff Civil Litigation a plus
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, preferably gained from legal office experience
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment including fax machine, photocopier, personal computer and transcription equipment
  • Willingness to learn and apply new methods and concepts
  • Team player, with positive attitude and customer service skills
  • Strong computer skills; Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
  • Perform other duties as assigned 

Experience and Education

  • 1 to 3 years related industry experience and work experience in busy and high-demand office atmosphere preferred, or the equivalent combination of education and industry experience
  • Paralegal certification preferred
  • Must be able to maintain the End of Month Schedule which consists of up to three (3) consecutive days which occur on or around the last business day of the month.  Should the last day of the month fall on a weekend, the EOM schedule for the last day of the month falling on a Saturday or Sunday will be:  an eight (8) hour shift on the Friday before the last day of the month, this shift will have various start times beginning at 5:00 am Pacific time through 12:00 pm Pacific time, and an eight (8) hour shift on the Saturday on or before the last day of the month.  EOM occurring on the last business day of the month that does not fall on a weekend will require, at minimum, one eight (8) hour shift that will vary in start time between 5:00 am to 12:00 pm Pacific Time.  There may be other mandatory shifts scheduled as dictated by business need.
